Thermistor motor protection unit which interfaces directly to a PTC sensor to provide protection of motors, alternators, transformers, etc. The unit will trip if the nominal trip temperature for the sensor is exceeded.

 

Microprocessor based MULTI – function tachometer relay with four selectable speeds. The unit can be selected for OVER and UNDER speeds and interfaces directly with a Namur two wire proximity sensor or limit switch.

Description

Function 1: Over Speed

 

The relay will de-energize if the speed exceeds the set limit. If the speed reduces by 5% of the set value the relay will energize.

 

Example:

 

starter motor disabling on generator.

 

Function 2: Under Speed

 

The relay will de-energize if the speed exceeds the set limit. If the speed increases by 5% of the set value the relay will energize.

Thermistor motor protection unit which interfaces directly to a PTC sensor to provide protection of motors, alternators, transformers, etc. The unit will trip if the nominal trip temperature for the sensor is exceeded.

 

The fault latching facility is incorporated which can be reset via the front panel membrane switch or opening contacts 7 & 8. A test facility to simulate fault conditions is also incorporated on the front panel membrane switch.

 

The ON and OFF times can be adjusted independently.
